Situated in the river valley along the lower part of Xiangjiang River, Changsha is the capital city of Hunan Province. The recorded history of Changsha can be traced back 3000 years. In order to combine the ancient culture and the modern civilization and integrate human creativity with natural landscape, the developments of building a business district in the downtown area on the east bank of Xiangjiang River and a culture area of Yuelu Mountain on the west bank have been stepped up, together with the national grade Changsha Economic & Technical Development Zone and High & New Technique Industry Development Zone in Xingsha and Wangchengbo.Three great projects, “The Project of Green Mountains, Blue Water and Pure Sky," “Round-the-City Forestry Ecosphere Project" and "Green Passage Project", have also been completely started, on the foundation of setting up"a landscape belt along Xiangjiang River "and "a landscape belt along Liuyanghe River", which has taken on a completely new look full of vigour and vitality everywhere in Changsha.
