Administrative division

Today's Changsha is the political, economic and cultural centre of Hunan Province , China . Five districts--- Furong, Tianxin, Yuelu, Kaifu and Yuhua, three counties---- Changsha County , Wangcheng, Ningxiang and one city--- Liuyang City are under its jurisdiction.

Soil area and Population

Its total area is 11,800 square kilometers, with a population of more than 6,000,000. As a result of more than 20 years' reform and open, tremendous changes have taken place in Changsha . Rapid and powerful strides have been made especially in the last few years, under the influence of the slogan “one change in a year, big changes in three years”.
