【Foreigners, Foreign-Born Chinese】

1.Certificate of marriage status attested by Ministry of Foreign Affairs (or department authorized by Ministry of Foreign Affairs) of the country and Chinese embassy in the country, presented by the notarization department of the country (valid for 6 months);

2.If divorces, must offer divorce certification certificated by our embassy in the country, if the prior marriage relation is expired by the logical procedure due to local law in the foreign country, must suggest at the same time the country certification of the original spouse certificated by our embassy in the country. If the original spouse is citizen of China, the divorce judgment outside should be judged by our senior people’s legislation after the certification of our embassy in the country (valid within 6 months).

3.If ex-spouse died, must offer the die certification of original spouse attested by Ministry of Foreign Affairs (or department authorized by Ministry of Foreign Affairs) of the country and Chinese embassy in the country.

4.Passport.

【Residents of Changsha】

1. Documents of marriage status presented by company having the people documents or committee of the county having the license of original birth place; (valid for 3 months)

2. Certificate of marriage status presented by Chinese embassy in the country, where one is out on business or on private over 6 months; (valid for 6 months)

3. If divorced, must offer the original certificate of divorce:

In china a < Certificate of Divorce >, a < Certificate of Relieving the Relationship of Husband and Wife>, a copy of intermediation or judgment by Court of People;

The certificate of divorce transacted by foreign department of marriage register must be attested by Ministry of Foreign Affairs (or department authorized by Ministry of Foreign Affairs) of the country and Chinese embassy in the country;

The divorce judgment (intermediation) by the foreign court must be attested by Ministry of Foreign Affairs (or department authorized by Ministry of Foreign Affairs) of the country and Chinese embassy in the country and meanwhile be judged effective by Senior Court of People

4. If the original spouse died abroad, a certificate of death attested by Chinese embassy in the country must be offered.

5. Identification Card, registered permanent residence (or certificate of residence)

If one is out of work, you must hold an unemployed card or resignation notice.

Both of the male and the female must put in respectively 6 pieces of recent photo with color, 2 inches in size, half-length without hat.
