Bukit Timah situated at the west-south part of Singapore, Covering a land are of 99.4 square kilometers. The district has an estimated population of 285,000, of whom 77.2% are of Chinese origin, 9.6% are of Malays origin, 5.7%are of Indian origin and 7.5% are of other races. The average age of people in Bukit Timah are young. About 14.1% of the population are below 10 years old, 30.4% between 10 and 29, 36.4% between 30 and 49, and 19.1% are 50 years old and above.
