Zhang Jianfei 

Zhang Jianfei, male, Han nationality, Communist Party member, was born in Shaodong, Hunan Province, in November 1962. He has served as member of the 8th, 9th CPPCC National Committee and member of the 10th NPC, now is the 11th NPC deputy. 

Main Experience

1983      Graduated from Tongji University

Worked in Highway Planning and Design Institute of the Ministry of Communications

1987      Studied in University of California, obtained Master’s and Doctor Degree; then as the   transportation expert of the Transport Department of World Bank to China.

1992      Back to China, successively as the deputy chief engineer, assistant to the president, vice president of Highway Planning and Design Institute of the Ministry of Communications ，vice president of Transport Planning and Research Institute

2001     President of Transport Planning and Research Institute

2003.06-2007.11  Director of Highway Traffic Department

2007.11       Deputy Secretary of Changsha Municipal Committee of CPC and Acting Mayor of Changsha Municipal People’s Government

2008.01.03  Selected as the Mayor of Changsha Municipal People’s Government.
